Heartland Fire Station #4, Strathcona County

Heartland Hall was designed for future expansion in all four directions. The vehicle garage can expand to the south, whereas the administration RCMP (satellite office) & housing wing can expand north, east and west. The functional components of the project include:

  • Vehicle storage and maintenance shop
  • Administrative & RCMP offices, including special constables and bylaw officers for the North Strathcona
  • Sleeping, dining and recreation quarters for emergency services fire staff
  • Pressure Equalized Rain Screen Insulated Structure Technique (PERSIST) incorporated into the design to achieve a tight building envelope system
  • 6 vehicle service bays
  • Dedicated large vehicle wash bay
  • Training facility for stationed and visiting personnel
  • Staff lockers

The facility includes state of the art communication equipment and sophisticated firefighting and emergency equipment for the needs of the heavy industry located northeast of Edmonton.
