THE FIRM

HFKS Architects Inc. is an award winning firm with a rich and diverse history of architecture, interior design, planning and programming in the province of Alberta over the past 37 years. Founded in 1975, HFKS Architects is a firm of over 35 professional, technical and support staff. HFKS specializes in providing creative solutions to state-of-the-art, technically challenging facilities for institutional clients.

HFKS Architects is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of our practice. We offer a strong team of highly competent and experienced design, technical and administrative staff. A significant factor in our ability to deliver excellence for our Clients, is that almost 1/4 of our staff are either Registered Architects or Licensed Interior Designers, excluding graduate and intern architects. This ratio is higher than most firms of our size in Alberta.

A client-oriented approach governs our service, which is based on close contact with the users, experienced understanding of operational needs and a determination to successfully resolve arising issues. Our work methodology allows us to utilize the most experienced individuals in direct contact with the Client, thus benefiting the final outcome of the project and its delivery. Members of our team have extensive experience in the design, planning, restoration, deconstruction, construction and contract administration of a number of facilities types of various sizes and complexity, with construction value ranging from $50,000 to over $200 Million.
